Waxing Related FAQs

It's best to use a gentle exfoliation 24-48 hours before your first wax appointment. If your skin is dehydrated, it tends to hold onto the hair more which can result in breakage rather than complete removal from the hair from the root. Breakage can likely cause ingrown hairs as well. Dehydrated skin that has not been exfoliated prior to waxing can also leave you with red itchy skin. If you are concerned about pain, taking an over the counter ADVIL or Ibuprofen 30-45 minutes before your appointment will alleviate some of the symptoms and help keep you relaxed during your service. Refraining from alcohol and caffeine is always a good idea as they dehydrate you, increase blood flow and tend to cause more pain during your service.
